Bengaluru, Jun 18: The embarrassment faced by Congress party recently relating to the no-confidence motion moved against Legislative Council Chairman D H Shankaramurthy will be discussed in party forum, said KPCC chief Dr G Parameshwara on Saturday, June 18.
He disclosed that some legislators have registered their unhappiness over the incident. “I understand the feelings of legislators. We will make sure that nothing such happens in the future. Some legislators have also complained against MLC V S Ugrappa. We will bring this issue to the notice of chief minister Siddaramaiah and will also discuss it in party forum,” he said.
“I had spoken to JD(S) Supremo Deve Gowda a day before the no-confidence motion. He had promised support to Congress. But JD(S) joined hands with BJP in the Council and the Congress lost the battle.” he added.
It is gathered that 11 legislators have a written a letter to G Parameshwara demanding action against V S Ugrappa who initiated the no-confidence motion.
