Police made a big mistake.Instead of looking first in carrier, should have put hand cuffs to the people and later inquired about their load.SO they could not run .Police should be given better training.

Police should be given powers to once & for all, put an end to this 'cow trafficking menace' , which is ruining the peace between different communities.

Permission to the police force to 'Shoot at sight' or 'Encounter', would be the most effective solution, in the present circumstances. Merely resorting to arrests of cow traffickers and jailing them (till they get released on bail and resume their 'business') would definitely be a suitable remedy.
