Panaji, May 28 (TOI): About 600 chemists in the state are expected to join the nationwide strike on May 30 to protest against regulation of medicine sale through a central e-portal.
Around eight lakh chemists pan-India will be observing the day-long bandh against the Union health ministry's proposal to introduce an e-portal system whereby chemists will have to maintain the record of medicines received and dispensed by them. The strike will be observed from midnight of May 29 to midnight of May 30. All retail pharmacies in the state will stay shut. Pharmacies at government hospitals and private clinics will stay open.
