Mysuru, May 25: Two persons sustained injuries after a leopard attacked them near Gaddige in Mysuru district on Wednesday, May 24.
A school boy and a Forest Department employee are the injured. According to sources, the school boy was attacked in the morning. The Forest Department employee who was combing the area after the incident, was attacked by the leopard. He was shifted to H D Kote hospital as he escaped with minor injuries.
According to Deputy Conservator of Forests V Karikalan, a combing operation would be held to track the leopard. As the area houses large agricultural land with lots of farms and plantations, leopards find the place to be a perfect hideout.
