Bengaluru: BCCRS to organise Pentecost night vigil in Konkani on June 3

Bengaluru, May 24: Konkani Revival Prayer Group, a part of Bangalore Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services of Archdiocese of Bengaluru, will hold the 'Pentecost Night Vigil in Konkani' on Saturday, June 3, from 9.00 pm to 5.30 am at St Joseph’s Commerce College Auditorium near St Patrick’s Church, Bengaluru.

Fr Pius D'Souza from Shivamogga diocese will be sharing the Word of God, with a gifted priest of the archdiocese, Fr Bonaventure Rodrigues, spiritual director of St Peters seminary, Bengaluru. Praise and worship will be led by the Konkani worship team.

Like every year, Archdiocese of Bengaluru will celebrate the birthday of the church and the feast of the Holy Spirit through a prayerful pentecostal night vigil at St Patrick’s Church in the heart of the city.

According to the Acts of the Apostles, after the resurrection of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, descended on the disciples on Pentecost, in the form of tongues of fire accompanied by the sound of a rush of wind and gave them the power of speaking in different languages. In Bangalore, after the night vigil, mass will be conducted in five different languages on the same campus - Konkani, English, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, the people will start to speak in one single language, the language of love.The multilingual Eucharistic Celebration will be held at 4.00 am by Dr Bernanrd Moras, Archbishop of Bengaluru.

BCCRS Konkani Revival Prayer Group invites all the Konkani families in Bengaluru to experience the pentecostal blessings by joining the night vigil in large numbers, and praise and worship the risen lord in their own mother tongue, to strengthen spirituality and Konkani prayer in Bengaluru.
