Mangaluru, May 15: Modern and classical music lovers witnessed an entertaining evening at 'Fusion Fiesta' organised by renowned organisations Sangeet Bharati Foundation and Mandd Sobhann at amphi theatre of Kalaangan, Shaktinagar on Sunday, May 14.
The grand fusion music concert was inaugurated by proprietor of Sagar Reality promotions Giridhar Shetty and founder-managing director of Daijiworld Walter Nandalike. Gurkar of Mandd Sobhann Eric Ozario, chairman of Expert College Narendra Nayak and treasurer Usha Prabha Nayak were present during the occasion.
Renowned young musician Ankush N Nayak enthralled music enthusiasts with enchanting ragas of sitar. Another young talent Alwyn Fernandes on guitar mesmerized the audience with his outstanding performance.
The talented duo on sitar and guitar were accompanied by Arun Kumar on drums, Trilochan Kampli on tabla, Shadrach Solomon on keyboard and Abhishek Dey on bass guitar. The fascinating fusion of classical Hindustani and western music thoroughly entertained the audience.
The six-member team brought uniqueness with the blend of Hindustani and western music. As it was Mother's Day, the team kicked off the concert with a track titled 'The Birth' which is originally composed by Ustad Rafeeq Khan dedicated to mother.
The team continued to mesmerise the audience performing fusion music ‘Beat the heat’ and ‘The Spring’ composed by Ustad Rafeeq Khan and ‘Wild Dance’ composed by Sri Mutthu Swami.
