Mangaluru, May 12: A spectacular display of light, sound and decor marked the official and grand launching of 'Icon Galaxy' a semi mall by HNGC Developers, at Suratkal near here on Thursday May 11.
The project was launched by MLA Mohiuddin Bava in the presence of mayor of Mangaluru City Corporation Kavita Sanil, khateeb of Suratkal Juma Masjid E K Ibrahim Madani, former president of Karnataka Sahitya Parishath Harikrishna Punaroor, land owner of 'Icon Galaxy' Varadaraj, local corporator Gunakar Shetty, Iyaz, and chairman of Karnataka Cashew Development Board P H Khadar.
In his inaugural speech MLA Mohiuddin Bava said, "I am proud of 'Icon Galaxy' which is coming up in my constituency. Nowadays many builders are showing interest in investing in Suratkal area. They know this is a fast-growing area with all facilities. Suratkal has already gained name as the business hub on the outskirts of the city. HNGC Developer's other construction projects have already started in parts of the area. 'Icon Galaxy' project is the best symbol of communal harmony in this area, as it being built on a land owned by Varadraj. First we should build harmony. When we learn to respect each other irrespective of caste, creed, religion the other barriers, the region will develop automatically, as it will attract investors and businessmen. I congratulate the directors of this project and Varadaraj, and wish them all success."
Mayor Kavita Sanil said, "I hope 'Icon Galaxy' will become an icon of the region. Suratkal is a dense area so we need two more malls here, and HNGC has the capacity to build them. Such kind of projects bring lots of changes in the common man's life. They want such facilities close to their residential areas. I congratulate the directors on this wonderfull project."

The new 'Icon Galaxy' semi-mall will comprise brands, have commercial space for banks, showrooms and other retail outlets.
