Davanagere, May 8: Sri Shivamurty Murugha Sharanaru Swamiji of Murugha Math, Chitradurga, advised Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) cadres to stop viewing Muslims with suspicion. "Unless people from all the religions are included in it, the dream of building an integrated and secure India will remain a mirage," he felt.
He delivered benedictory address at the valedictory function of RSS orientation class held at high school ground here on Sunday May 7. He felt that to achieve the goal of building a safe, strong and prosperous country, everyone have to be taken along.
It could be sensed that some RSS leaders were not very comfortable with the advise of harmony preached by the Sharanaru. The Swamiji said that during several programmes organized by Muslim outfits which he had attended, Muslims had never showed aversion towards India's interests. He said that humanitarian ideals of Buddha, caste eradication principles preached by Basavanna, equality of Ambedkar and such other ideals should be taken together to bring about unity in the country. He added that patriotism as preached by Vivekananda is also very relevant.
RSS leader Tippeswarmy delivered keynote address at the programme.
