Mangaluru, May 5: Mangaluru is known for producing glamourous beauties who have gone on win international fame and become the heartthrobs of the nation. The city has a reputation for giving to the world men and women who have created a niche for themselves in the world of glamour and cinema.
Now, yet another Mangalurean lass has created ripples in the glamour world. Andria D'Souza, who was born in Dubai in a Mangalurean family, has been listed in the top 100 sexiest Indian women in the world.
FHM India, the largest selling men's lifestyle magazine has ranked Andria 79th in the list of India's sexiest women, alongside the likes of Nargis Fakhri, Ileana D'Cruz, Huma Qureshi and other celebs.
"Proud to have been featured in the list of @fhmindia India's 100 sexiest women world list..." Andria said in a tweet.
Andria, who completed her graduation in commerce and specialized in commercial arts, worked as intern in MEMAC, a sister concern of Ogilvy and Mather International.
Andria's elder brother Austin is an aeronautical engineer, while her sister Avalene is a physio surgeon.
The richly talented girl with tantalizing looks, began her career as a presenter and anchor for Zee TV, Dubai. Her first ever TV programme was Zee Connect. She bagged negative role in Malayalam movie, 'Kamasutra 3D'. In its review, Khaleej Times identified her enormous talent and hailed her as 'a star is born'.
Andria has finished shooting for the movie, 'Six-X' with Ashmit Patel in the lead. Film producer, Faisal Saif, had chosen D'Souza to play the lead role in his film, 'For Adults Only' but the project was later shelved. She has worked alongside superstars such as Mohanlal.
Andria was born in Dubai on February 22, 1986. She had won the 'Miss Mangalore - 2009' contest and thereafter got a chance to work for Zee TV as VJ.
