Kundpaur, May 4: A physically challenged 15 year old girl was reportedly raped by a minor boy on the evening of Tuesday May 2. The incident happened within Shirur gram panchayat limits near Byndoor.

Both the girl and the boy who allegedly raped her belong to Maidinapura five cents colony within Shirur gram panchayat. The girl had visited a nearby shop to buy eatables. When she was returning home, Dinesh (17) who was waiting for her on the road, suddenly lifted her up, carried her to a nearby thicket and raped her there, it is claimed.

The girl thereafter returned home sobbing uncontrollably and narrated about her ordeal to her mother. A complaint about the incident was filed at Byndoor police station the same night. It is said that medical examination proved that the girl was raped.

The police took the accused into custody and booked him under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. Investigation is on.
