Karkala, May 3: “It is the duty of every old student to repay the debt of the school where we studied. Educational institutes can succeed only when there is coordination between teachers, parents and old students”, said Daijiworld Media founder and managing director Walter Nandalike.
Walter was speaking at Fr Nicholas Carniro auditorium of Belman St Joseph's school on the occasion of 'Hale Vidyarthi Sangama-2017', a first meeting of old students of the school. Old students have many plans for the school out of which a school bus was donated to the school in this first inaugural meet.
Retired and present teachers of the school were felicitated on the occasion. Old students who have made great achievements were identified.
The new school bus facility donated by the old students was inaugurated during the occasion.
President of old student's association Xavier D' Mello presided over the programme. Fr Louis D' Sa parish priest of Mukamar church, Sr Aileen, old student and Nursing head of Yenopoya Hospital, senior retired teacher Kodimar Vital Tantri, vice president of parish pastoral council Alwyn Ageira, Sr Pauline, English medium school headmistress Lidia Aranha, Gregory Menezes and others were present.
Xavier D' Mello welcomed. Robert D' Souza proposed vote of thanks.
