Udupi, May 2: Souza's new mega home appliance store was inaugurated on Monday May 1 by Rajya Sabha member and former union minister Oscar Fernandes. The two-storey showroom is located at Sairam Central Mall, near Syndicate Circle.
Meanwhile Udupi- Chikkamagluru MP Shobha Karandlaje formally inaugurated the showroom by lighting the lamp. District in-charge and minister for youth empowerment, sports and fisheries Pramod Madhwaraj was present during the inaugural ceremony.
Fr Frederick D'Souza, parish priest, Christ Church, Manipal blessed the showroom on the occasion. In his message, Fr Fred Mascarenhas, parish priest, Mother of Sorrows Church said, “Everyone is important in society. All have to contribute in building the human race. May God give wealth and health to the owner and employees.”
This is the second largest branch of Souza in the city. All types of home appliances, dry fruits, mobile phones and wooden furniture are available in an attractive price range under one roof.
“The two-floored electronics and furniture showroom has a good ambience and customer friendly staff who aim to provide the best service. There are a total of 12 outlets of the company providing service to its customers. There are five outlets in Mangaluru, four in Puttur and Udupi,” said owner of Souza Ltd, Dr Christopher.
Jerry Vincent Dias, president, Udupi Builders Association, CREDAI, Airody Ganashyama Pai, M/S Airody Radhakrishna Pai and Sons, Bettina, Christina D'Souza and others were present on the occasion.
