Mangaluru: Scholarships issued to Talent Hunt toppers at Beary's Institute

Mangaluru, May 2 : M A Gafoor, president of Karnataka minority development corporation opined that educational institutes should create awareness about government programmes available for students. He was speaking after issuing scholarships and certificates to 20 students who secured highest marks in Talent Hunt examination held for students interested in pursuing Engineering and Architecture degree courses in Bearys Institute of Technology and Beary's Enviro Architecture Design School, Inoli.

“The report by Justice Sachar Committee about Muslim education is painful. However the state government has stressed on education of students by way of Arivu project. It has made provision for lending of loan from Rs 2 lac to Rs 20 lac from basic education till post graduate degrees. Following pressure in the recent board meeting to increase tuition fees, the government has increased its aid by Rs 10 thousand per year. The government has also announced that between Rs 15,000 and Rs 45,000 tuition fees will be paid to evening college students. Students should avail it by filling online applications”, he said.




Sayyed Mohammed Beary, president of Bearys group of institutes who presided over the programme, speaking on the occasion said that the institute tries to inculcate leadership qualities among students so that the students may provide employment to others later in their lives. “The institute is succeeding in making the students grow in beautiful environment beside the river”, he said.

Senior advisor of the institute, D S K Raikar, Bearys Institute of Technology principal Dr Abdul Kareem, Bits principal Professor Bhavesh Mehra, Bearys Polytechnic College principal Dr Azeez Mustafa were the guests of honour.

Programme organizer and department head, Professor Mustafa Bastikodi welcomed. Rukiat Fahima compered the programme. Jameel Ahmed proposed vote of thanks.
