Doha: 'Tangaballi' of Chennai Express to crown 17th May Queen

Doha, Apr 27: Bold and handsome Bollywood actor, Nikitin Dheer, popularly known as 'Tangaballi' of 'Chennai Express' will do the honour of crowning the 17th May Queen on May 4 at Radisson Blu. The event will begin at 7.30 pm.

The 17th year of annual May Queen Ball celebration is being organised by Goan Welfare Association in collaboration with Link Marketing. Nikitin Dheer will inaugurate the celebration along with actress Ester Noronha who will perform live during the event. Nikitin and Ester are currently working in Telugu films besides other Indian languages. They both will be accompanied by hosts of guests and dignitaries.

Goa's top live band, ALCATRAZZ will be in attendance and will set the ball rolling.

About Nikitin Dheer

Nikitin Dheer is a Bollywood actor who made his debut as the primary antagonist in Ashutosh Gowariker's historical film 'Jodhaa Akbar'. He co-starred alongside Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, as Sharifuddin Hussain, Akbar's brother-in-law. While the film earned critical appreciation and box office success, Dheer received praise for his role. The same year he acted alongside Vivek Oberoi, Shriya Saran and Zayed Khan in Apoorva Lakhia's action thriller 'Mission Istaanbul'.

Thereafter, he has appeared in villainous roles in Anees Bazmee's comedy 'Ready', alongside Salman Khan and Asin.The following year, he had a supporting role in Arbaaz Khan's action film 'Dabangg 2' alongside Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha and Prakash Raj.

In 2013, he featured as the primary antagonist in Rohit Shetty's action comedy 'Chennai Express' with Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. His role as Tangaballi, a dreaded Tamil goon was received warmly.

He also works in Telugu movies and was one of the participants in the adventurious show 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 5'. He was seen in Life Ok’s show 'Nagarjuna', a TV sop directed by Glen Barretto.

Nikitin Dheer is the son of renowned actor Pankaj Dheer, who played Karna in Ravi Chopra’s TV series 'Mahabharat'. Nikitin is married to popular television actress Kratika Senger.
