Kundapur: Four women rob jewellery from woman in temple, flee in car

Kundapur, Apr 21: An unidentified group of women decamped with jewellery weighing 80 grams stolen from the bag of a woman who had come to Anegudde Vinayaka temple on Thursday afternoon, April 20. The women reportedly fled in a vehicle with the loot.

Jyothi, the woman hailing from Bengaluru had come for a wedding at Kollur on Wednesday, April 19. She had stayed in the house of her relatives at Ulthur, Kundapur. She visited Anegudde temple on Thursday. When she was receiving Aarthi after Pooja, a group of four unknown women opened the zip of her bag and decamped with the jewellery. Two gold chains, one necklace, and a bangle were found to be missing.

Jyothi later complained about the incident to Kundapur police station.

The police watched the footage of CCTV camera of the temple and traced the registration number of the vehicle in which the women had come. They are searching for the vehicle.
