Tremors felt in Bengaluru, nearby districts, people rush out of houses

Bengaluru, Apr 18: At around 7.30 am on Tuesday April 18, people living in several parts of the city and nearby districts like Mandya, Ramanagara, Chamarajanagar and Tumakuru districts experienced mild tremors.

In some places, the tremors were reportedly more intense. Affected people said that the experience lasted for a few seconds.

There are reports about walls of some houses in Nelamangala and nearby areas developing cracks. Malavalli in Mandya district and Channapatna in the outskirts of the city also felt the tremors. However, there were no reports about them in Mysuru district, which is located close to Mandya and Chamarajanagar districts.

Srinagar, Hanumanth Nagar and Yalahanka in the city were some of the areas where the people could clearly feel the tremors.

People who experienced the tremors rushed out of their houses because of the fear that something ominous was happening. However, they soon realized later that it must be mild earthquake.

    We are already experiencing tremors since several months...
    Electricity mb charges costlier from May
    Sugar price Rs.50 a kg
    Good rice rice Rs.60 per kg
    Jaggery Rs.60 a kg
    Oil more than Rs.150 per ltr
    No usage of card for drawing from atm because atm business almost closed
    Standing in the line in bank to get cash
    To go to hotel minimum 500 for two for minimum items
    Bank charges for withdrawals,card charges abnormal ..just looting but in a decent way.only pink notes symbol of deep love for citizens!
    Petrol Rs 70..Daily change from next month
    Milk price already hiked
    After experiencing the above tremors ,rainy season natural tremors
    nothing....!
