Mangaluru: Tulu film 'Pettkammi' poster runs into controversy

Mangaluru, Apr 16: The poster of the recently launched Tulu movie 'Pettkammi' has created a lot of controversy.

'Pettkammi' directed by Keerthi and produced by Ashok Shetty and Sunil Shetty under the banner Malgudi talkies has a poster with three faces framed as one. While the first face is of Tulunadu ancient culture Daivaradhane's Daiva Guliga, the second and the third faces are of a ghost and alien respectively.

'Pettkammi' in Tulu means mad. Tulu film lovers have opined that the title is disrespecting Tulunadu culture and the Daiva.

Angry fans have demanded an apology from the makers and also for the poster to be replaced immediately.

    Coastal wood filmy people made strong protest agaisnt kannada tv show maja talkies for his comment on our DK cutural daiva ,bootha etc, Now how can these people only put a poster daiva picturee as petkammi movie?

    The poster resembles what Sigmund Freud who had defind human psyche the three parts of the personality of human beings the Id, the Ego and the Superego.

    Since the angry fans are ignorant they demand such measures. As they say, "man is wise but people are stupid" is a suitable point for this argument.
