Broadband internet services suspended again in Kashmir

Srinagar, Apr 13 (IANS): The authorities on Thursday again suspended broadband internet facilities in the Kashmir Valley, fearing spread of rumours and instigations for violence on social media, as re-polling was being held in parts of the Srinagar Lok Sabha constituency.

The broadband internet connections were restored two days ago but the ban on mobile internet continues since April 8.

The ban on internet was imposed ahead of Sunday's by-poll in the Srinagar-Budgam parliamentary constituency. Eight civilians were killed in clashes with the security forces during the polling.
