Tumakuru, Apr 13: In a strang incident reported from Kuruduganahalli in Koratagere taluk of the district, a woman ended life by hanging herself at home, having been dismayed over the fact that her husband did not extend support to her in her friction with a neighbour over the issue of spillage from the latter's water tank.

Siddagangamma (36), wife of Kantaraju, reportedly hanged herself out of frustration at the failure of her husband to back her during the fight.

It is said that almost on a daily basis water from the water tanker kept atop neighbour, Prasannakumar's house, overflowed and fell over the house of Siddagangamma. Siddagangamma had repeatedly objected to this routine. Many a time there was fight between Siddagangamma on one hand, and Parasannakumar and his wife, Paddamma, on the other. On Wednesday too the fight had occurred. Even after the fight escalated, Kantaraju remained neutral and did not come forward to support his wife, it is said.

Dismayed over her husband's attitude, Siddagangamma hanged herself at her home, it is learnt. A case about this incident was filed in Koratagere police station.
