Udupi: Attempt on life of DC, other officials - another held

Udupi, Apr 11: In connection with the murder attempt on deputy commissioner of the district, Priyanka Mary Francis, and officials accompanying her during the raid on illegal sand extraction spots at Kandlur and Halnadu in Kundapur taluk last week, another accused was arrested by the police on Monday April 10.

The arrested accused happens to be Sanjeeva Pooojary (56) from Kandlur. It is gathered he was taken into custody based on evidence in photograph. District superintendent of police, K T Balakrishna, stated that the arrested accused is being interrogated.
