Berlin, Apr 9 (IANS): German football club Cologne and goalkeeper Timo Horn have agreed to a contract extension until June 2022.
"Timo Horn is an excellent goalkeeper. His career within the club has been remarkable and it demonstrates his ambition. It is great that he had opted for Cologne and a long-term contract," Cologne head coach Peter Stoeger said.
The 23-year-old goalkeeper has played since 2002 for Cologne, and played his way through all youth ranks. Horn made overall 155 first team appearances for Cologne.
"The club took a great development in the past years and I would like to continue this way. I remain ambitious and I am convinced that we still can achieve a lot together," the Cologne native told the club's official homepage.
