Kuching (Malaysia), Apr 4 (IANS): Spanish star shuttler Carolina Marin said she will be heading to the Malaysia Open with "many positive things" despite losing the India Open final.
"Even though the day of the (India Open) final was not the best day, the week has gone pretty good. I got many positive things out of it. I'm bringing many positive things to Malaysia. I hope that things will go well here in Kuching," the 23-year-old Marin said on Monday, reports Efe.
Indian P.V. Sindhu rolled to a 21-19, 21-16 win Sunday over Marin in the championship match of the India Open, avenging her loss to the Spanish shuttler in the Summer Olympics gold medal match last year.
The Indian star needed just 46 minutes to put away Marin.
Marin participated in an event with fans and members of the media.
The Malaysia Open, which starts on Tuesday at Perpaduan Stadium here, offers $600,000 in prize money.
