Mangaluru: Four students of Vikas College clear KVPY exams

Mangaluru, Apr 2: Four students of city-based Vikas Pre-University College have added a jewel to the crown of Vikas, by clearing the KVPY written examinations held on November 6, 2016, the results of which were announced recently.

Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a scholarship programme funded by the department of science and technology of the government of India, to attract exceptionally highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science.

The students attended an interview in January and have bagged fruitful results, becoming eligible for direct admission in top institutes like IISc, which is ranked 8th among small universities in 2017 by Times Higher Education rankings and various IISERs.

The four students are Harshavardhan (121), Shroff P Prajwal (634), Shalini B M (888) and Raghunandan B M (1296).

The management and staff of Vikas College congratulate the students on achieving this feat.

    Congratulations students. Proud of you guys.
    It pains me to see many youth wasting time loitering around, getting into drugs n what not, where as these youngsters have utilized their time well and got into the prestigious IISc, IIScR. Congrats once again.
