Kundapur, March 26: Police amidst tight security produced Naxal Ishwar alias Veeramani(55) in Kundapur court for hearing regarding the case of teacher Bhoja Shetty and farmer Suresh Shetty who were murdered by naxals in Nadpalu grama, near Hebri.
The naxal was arrested in Tamilnadu by COD team and brought to the court by Hebri and ANF police after having accused to have participated in the murders in 2008.
As the suspect was brought in the court premises, he was heard shouting ‘Naxal Zindabad’ slogan. He had shouted similar slogan when he was brought to Karkal court in the past.
Another five suspects in the crime were also arrested. One of them had died in the forest while the remaining five suspects were absconding.
Several criminal cases are registered against Veeramani alias Ishwar in Tamilnadu and Kerala. He was acquitted in three cases.
