Bengaluru, Mar 19: In a new development, a letter is being sent to prime minister Narendra Modi objecting the induction of former chief minister S M Krishna into BJP.
Famous social activist and Samaja Parivarthana Samudaya founder S R Hiremath is the author of the letter.
Speaking to reporters, Hiremath said that the letter mentions the reasons which should stop BJP from taking S M Krishna into its fold. “S M Krishna’s son-in-law V G Siddhartha has acquired 120 acres of forest land by wrongful means in Koppa taluk of Chikkamagaluru district. Krishna is joining BJP with the intention of saving Siddhartha from corruption charges. Krishna is also eying for a post like President or Vice-president of India. Prime minister Modi who has waged a war against black money should not allow Krishna to join BJP,” said Hiremath.
Meanwhile Krishna has planned to leave for New Delhi on Monday night. His induction to BJP scheduled to take place on March 15, was postponed due to his sister’s demise.
Krishna plans to meet BJP national president Amit Shah and discuss about the date of joining among other things. Though it was expected that Krishna would only join BJP after the rituals connected to his late sister are over, sources closer to Krishna say that he wants to join before the by-elections of Gundlupet and Nanjangudu in Karnataka.
