Abu Dhabi, Mar 17: Road safety level in the Emirate has significantly improved with road accidents and fatalities falling by 4 percent and 25 percent, respectively, in the first two months of 2017, compared with the same period last year, according to data released by traffic police.
Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Director of Central Operations, Abu Dhabi Police, said the department would continue its efforts to attain the highest level of road safety through the launch of awareness and education initiatives, enhancement of partnership with the community and introduction of the latest smart traffic management and monitoring systems.
He urged motorists to observe traffic rules for their own safety.
