Mangalore, Mar 6: A conference will be held on Saturday March 8 and Sunday March 9 at Ashariya Nagar to mark the decennial celebrations of Darul Ash Ariyya Educational Centre, Bantwal, informed Abdul Hameed Latif of the organizing committee of the celebrations at a press conference here on Thursday March 6.
The celebrations will be inaugurated by Assayed Hasannul Ahadul Pakoya Tangal Mahimat at the ceremony which will be chaired by P A Abbas Musliyar, president of Al-Madeena Institution of Manjanady, which will be followed by Sauharda Samavesha (convention to promote harmony) on March 9, he informed.
The convention to promote harmony will be inaugurated by Assayed Zainul Abiddin Tangal Al Bukhari Kunnangai. The programme will be presided over by Chandrahas Shetty Bolantur, president of Bantwal taluk panchayat. B Ramanath Rai, former state transport minister, U T Khader, former MLA and others will be the special invitees. The convention will be followed by the concluding ceremony, Latif detailed.
Other members of the organizing committee of the celebrations were present at the press conference.
