UAE Exchange wins Great Place to Work Award for second consecutive year

Media Release

Dubai, March 13: UAE Exchange, the leading global remittance, foreign exchange and payment solutions brand, was once again officially recognised among the 'top companies to work for in the UAE' by Great Place to Work®, a global research, training and consultancy firm that identifies the best workplaces in over 50 countries worldwide.

The official list, which was announced during an awards ceremony on March 7 evening at the Westin Dubai Al Habtoor City, is a ranking of the nation’s 24 best employers based on the confidential feedback of employees and an audit of management policies and practices.

On receiving the award, Promoth Manghat, chief executive officer of UAE Exchange, said, "We are delighted to be recognised as a Great Place to Work® once again. We really value our reputation as employer of choice, and have a long-standing tradition of employee engagement and encouraging innovation. We recognise that our reputation is built on the commitments our teams show to our customers and the culture of excellence that we nurture together. On this occasion I want to thank all our employees for continuing to strengthen the UAE Exchange brand.”

Commenting on the Top Companies list, Maha Zaatari, managing director of Great Place to Work in the UAE said, “This is without a doubt the strongest level of competition we have seen since launching the Top Companies programme in the UAE seven years ago. To be recognized as one of the best workplaces in the UAE is a significant achievement and winners should feel proud of their results. Congratulations to all the Top 24 list makers.”

To select the ‘Top Companies to Work for in the UAE’, Great Place to Work conducts an evaluation of each participating company. Two-thirds of the company’s score is based on the results of the institute’s proprietary Trust Index© survey, which is sent to the employees from each company. The survey asks questions related to their attitudes about the management’s credibility, employee engagement and job satisfaction. The other third of the scoring is based on the company’s responses to the institute’s Culture Audit©, which includes detailed questions about pay and benefits programmes and a series of open-ended questions about hiring, communication and development.

Each entry is judged according to performance in eight key areas: leadership, well-being, giving something back, personal growth, fair deal and how members of staff feel towards their manager, company and team.

“Employee well-being is not just part of our corporate social responsibility but an integral part of our business model. We differentiate ourselves through innovation and superior customer service. And both these areas require motivated employees, who take pride in the brand and want to go the extra mile for customer satisfaction. In 2017 and beyond, we are going to be furthering our employee engagement activities by launching new initiatives to foster innovation, motivate teams and involve employees in decision-making,” concluded Promoth.
