Bengaluru, Feb 25: Pilla Muniswamappa, JD(S) MLA representing Devanahalli constituency, who had resigned from the membership of the state assembly and primary membership of JD(S) on Thursday February 23, changed his mind and withdrew his resignation.

It is said that Muniswamappa decided to relent after JD(S) national president, H D Deve Gowda, prevailed upon him to reverse his decision. On Friday morning, the MLA went to the residence of assembly speaker, K B Koliwad, and withdrew his resignation letter.

Speaking to media persons later, Pilla Muniswamappa confessed that he had resigned having been frustrated and pained at certain developments within his party. "I have been sincerely working for JD(S) party since long. The party leadership admitted Nisarga Narayanaswamy from Hoskote constituency into the party without bringing it to my notice. I felt sidelined and resigned as legislator and member of JD(S). Now Deve Gowda has spoken to me and promised to sort out things. On the basis of his assurance, I have withdrawn my resignation," he clarified.
