Dubai, Feb 24: The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre for Islamic Culture launched Fashunity Exhibition on Thursday, February 23 at Zayed bin Mohammed Family Gathering, Al Khawaneej. The two-day exhibition will conclude on Saturday, February 25. A total of 21 countries will gather in Dubai to showcase their cultural heritage.
Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC), a social club registered with the Community Development Authority (CDA), Government of Dubai, UAE will present the traditional Indian culture through the 'Indian Pavilion'. It will showcase the physical features of India with traditional attire, food, and souvenirs of famous landmarks and attractions of the country.
The first Fashunity in UAE left its mark of success in 2012. Drawing positive response from the audience ever since, the exhibition continues to revive the concept on a much larger scale.
'Fashunity' aims to revive various cultures and remind people of their origin while in the UAE, a melting pot of diverse cultures. The diversity of the Emirates includes people from the UK, Philippines, China, Brazil, Indonesia, Colombia, Venezuela and other countries, apart from the UAE itself.
