Mumbai Congress chief offers to quit


Mumbai, Feb 23 (IANS): Mumbai Congress President Sanjay Nirupam on Thursday said he was ready resign from his post following the party's poor showing in the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) election.

Asked by IANS if he had offered to resign, Nirupam said over telephone: "Yes."

The Congress was a distant third in the election to the BMC where the Shiv Sena took early leads followed by the Bharatiya Janata Party.

    Its not an end to any political party (National Party) no doubt. Modi will rule his second term, after Modi rule BJP will face same situation of present congress situation.

    Lol..He was the one who wanted proof of Surgical Strike. Modi was busy some were in UP and showed this fellow a sample proof it f what Surgical strike is without even coming to Mumbai. Hope he is happy now.

    I think its now slowly turning a reality, Cong mite soon be washed out all over India. No wonder they are siding on to some big rural parties for survival and be in news. Still the Cong supporters are not able to admit this and come in terms with reality. Its high time they see Rahul with jackie'' video ASAP.

    He is absolutely right because he sees no future for Congress in the future in any level of governance. They only can depend on parties like DMK JDU SP CPM and TC for allience.
