Paris, Feb 15 (IANS): French football club Lille appointed Franck Passi as its head coach, taking over from interim coach Patrick Collot, who replaced Frederic Antonetti in November 2016.
Lille, who won six games out of 15 under Collot, on Tuesday made the announcement of appointing experienced Passi, the former Olympique Marseille coach.
The club, champion of the France Ligue 1 in 1946, 1954 and 2011, currently holds 17th position in the standings with 26 points collected in 25 rounds, while it is just one point ahead of Caen at the top of the relegation zone, reports Efe.
Passi, the new 50-year-old head coach, led Marseille at the end of the 2015-16 season and the beginning of the 2016-17 season, with which he won five games and lost five others.
