Milan, Feb 8 (IANS): Former Italy striker Salvatore 'Toto' Schillaci said on Wednesday that Napoli must play the first leg at Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu stadium in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 without fear or intimidation and with confidence in their potential.
Schillaci, born in Palermo and top scorer of the 1990 football World Cup with Italy, believes that Napoli can show their strength against Real Madrid who, in his opinion, have good attackers but always suffer in defence, reports Efe.
In an interview published on Wednesday by Il Mattino, Toto said that Napoli must go to Bernabeu without fear, or otherwise it should stay at home, adding that the Italian side is capable of reaching the quarter-finals.
The former winner of the UEFA Cup with Juventus and Inter, praised the offensive strength of Napoli and stressed that the Italian club should play a great match against the current Europe champions.
However, Toto acknowledged that the main threat of Real Madrid is Cristiano Ronaldo, although he thinks world's best footballer is Barcelona's Lionel Messi.
