Mumbai, Feb 18: The annual day celebrations of Karnataka Free Night High School, Ghatkopar and Sri Nithyanand Kannada Free Night High School, Worli which are managed by Bunts Sangh was held recently at Radhabai T Bhandary auditorium at Bunts Bhavan, Kurla (East).

Aikala Harish Shetty, in his presidential address, said that language is not a barrier for achieving great heights. It is a wrong notion that those who study in Kannada medium schools have no bright future. Parents should understand that those students who study in English medium schools are not necessarily brilliant, he added.

I R Shetty, vice president of Bunts Sangha and practicing chartered accountant, who was the guest of honour said that success is like a shadow. The more we try to grab it, the further it moves away from us. It’s essential for every student to have a goal. Nothing can be achieved with wishful thinking. Hence, students should be brave enough to realize their dreams, he advised.

Karnire Vishwanath Shetty, president of executive committee of Bunts Sangha, S M Shetty, president of education sub committee, Bhaskar D Shetty, secretary, Sarvottam Shetty Sadadi, treasurer, V N Kulkarni and Sadashiv Shetty, headmasters and others were present on the dais.

Yakshagana and various cultural programmes were staged by the students on the occasion.
