Bengaluru, Feb 6: PES University, Bangalore, has established a unique Centre for Development Studies (CDS) at its campus in Bengaluru.
The CDS is headed and advised by Professor R S Deshpande, former Director of the Institute for Social and Economic Change, Bengaluru, said an official note.
The university through CDS will be offering a unique course of M.Sc. in Applied Economics keeping in view the need of the academic fraternity.
The CDS arranged a debate competition among final year graduate students from prominent colleges in Bengaluru on “Budget in the Shadow of Demonetization: Welfare Augmenting or Deteriorating” on February 7 in the campus of PES University.
A panel of experts from Bengaluru will be attending and judging the participants.
Prof Charan Singh, RBI Professor IIMB, Dr L V Nagarajan, Former Additional Chief Secretary Finance, Government of Karnataka Prof K R S Murthy Former Director IIM B will particiapte.
The programme begins at 11.00 am on Tuesday in the Auditorium of Panini Block, PESU Campus, BSK III Stage, Ring Road, Bangalore.
