Puttur: Accident at Shekhamale - scooter rider killed

Puttur, Feb 5: A car and a scooter were involved with collision at Shekhamale near Kumbra on Mani-Mysuru highway on the evening of Saturday February 4.  In this accident, the scooter rider was killed on the spot.

The accident occurred between a Terrano car that was moving towards Madikeri from Mangaluru, and an Activa scooter. The vehicles were moving through a road bend at Shekhamale when the accident occurred. Rider of the two-wheeler, Asif (18), son of Monu from Mittur in Bantwal taluk lost his life.

Pillion rider of the two-wheeler, identified as Adnan (20) from Kodaje suffered serious injuries. He was shifted to hospital. A case about this accident was filed in Sampya police station.
