Ajman, Feb 4: Gulf Medical University (GMU), Ajman had the pleasure of hosting Guillaume Huart, Regional Counselor for Health - Middle East at Embassy of France, on Wednesday, February 1.
He met the founder, president of Board of Governors of GMU Thumbay Moideen and the Chancellor of GMU, Prof Hossam Hamdy.
Guillaume Huart was presented with the vision and mission of GMU, and he toured the educational and research facilities in the campus. He also saw the different ongoing projects of the hospitals and medical centers in the campus, and discussed about establishing strong relations with the French Universities, hospitals and companies, and working together in the field of health.
Huart said that he was impressed with the unique vision and strategies, as well as the facilities of GMU. “I take this opportunity to express my admiration for this global project, which takes into account not only healthcare, but research too. Research is a key point for developing healthcare, and I realize how much integrated this vision is, in GMU. I hope that my meeting with Prof. Hossam Hamdy, the Chancellor will be key to developing this comprehensive, integrated Academic Healthcare System,” he said.
Expressing gratitude for Huart’s visit, Prof Hossam Hamdy shared his thoughts on the way forward. He said, “We are building on the long history of collaboration with France in the field of healthcare and medical education and training of students and paramedics and future specialists. Our collaboration with leading French Universities has been ongoing. We hope to offer top French programs at Gulf Medical University.”
