Mangaluru: Sangeet Bharati to present musical concert 'Bhakti Rath' on Feb 5

Mangaluru, Feb 2: Sangeet Bharati Foundation, Mangaluru is organizing ‘Bhakti Rath’ - a Santavaani concert of devotional songs on Sunday, February 5 at Rajangana, Shree Venkataramana Temple, Car Street at 5.30 pm.

Three renowned artistes of Karnataka namely Mahalaxmi Shenoy, Karkala, Vibha Nayak, Mangaluru and Shantheri Prabhu, Manjeshwar will perform during the programme.

These artists will sing popular devotional songs. This is the first time that one gets to witness three renowned female artistes from the Karavali coast, perform on the same platform.

Ideal Ice Cream is the main sponsor for this concert. As this concert is a combination of music and lyrics of great saints, it is named as ‘Bhakti Rath’. 

These devotional songs are based on classical music and are intended to attract even a common man to develop taste of this music. The artistes are accompanied by Shankar Shenoy, Udupi on the harmonium and Rajesh Bhagvath, Mulky on the tabla.

The concert is open to all and music lovers are requested to be at the venue at least 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the concert.

Sangeet Bharati foundation vice president Narendra L Nayak has invited each and every one to be a part of this concert and reap its benefits.
