Mangaluru, Feb 1: Young Catholic Students (YCS) in the diocese here commemorated the centenary of the appearance of Mary in Fathima (1917 - 2017). A YCS Rosary campaign was held on Sunday January 29.
The Rosary was prayed in all the parishes of the diocese on the same day. Members gathered in their own parishes and devoutly prayed the five decades of the Rosary, holding lit candles and singing. In many of the parishes, parish priests and people in large numbers accompanied the students.
The objectives of the prayer campaign were twofold. Students prayed for good result in the forthcoming final exams and to was the good result for all the students in the forth coming final exams and also to keep up the Marian Devotion. The young PUC students guided by the priests and accompanied by the organizers participated with zeal.
