Mangaluru: Government sanctions new building for taluk panchayat here

Mangaluru, Feb 1: President of the taluk panchayat here, Muhammed Monu, has informed that the state government has sanctioned a new, spacious building for Mangaluru taluk panchayat.

"The current taluk panchayat building is 60 years old. We have received administrative sanction through the panchayat raj department to construct a new building at a cost of Rs 3.5 crore. The new building will have underground parking facility, executive officer and other offices in the ground floor, president, vice president and their staff in the first floor, and well-equipped taluk panchayat auditorium in the second floor," he explained.
