Mangaluru, Jan 29: “People gathered here are real parliamentarians. Saints intellectuals and thousands of cow worshippers have congregated here. This is the real parliament. The decision of the people here should be conveyed to Delhi and relevant laws should be enacted to ban cow slaughter.” said Ramachandrapura Math Seer Raghaveshwara Swami.

Swami was addressing people after blessing the Mangala Gau Yatra' programme organized at Kulur in city on Saturday, January 28. 

“There is no flaw in a cow. Only human brains have flaws especially those who support cow slaughter. Cow has medicine for all diseases from skin to bone. We should revere cow after conserving her.” Swami added.

Karnataka Bank managing director P Jayarama Bhat who spoke after inauguration an international debate on cow by performing Panchagavya on the occasion and said “ I am sure a programme like this will help in conserving cow population. This in turn will benefit the environment and agriculture. When we analyze the history of great nation, we learn that we all grew up with cows in our houses. Every element of cow has medicinal value which has been proven by science. I wish that cow slaughtering stops completely for the benefit of the country.”

Special advisor Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, welcome committee honourary president Vinay Hegde, scientists Dr K P Ramesh, Dr Sadana Karnal, Dr Vadivel Coimbatore, Prof Alex Hankey from London were present among others.
