Mangaluru, Jan 24: District Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) has complained to Dakshina Kannada superintendent of police and city police commissioner against Dakshina Kannada Member of Parliament Nalin Kumar Kateel for his alleged remarks for propagating violence against communists in Kottayam in Kerala.
Nalin Kumar Kateel had made a statement in a BJP meeting in Kottayam that if CPM continued its attack on BJP activists in Kerala, then BJP has the capacity to harm the CPM activists in Karnataka, as per the details in the complaint.
‘Nalin Kumar has made inflammatory speeches and comments several times in the past. The particular statement in a BJP meeting propagates violence,’ mentions the complaint.
‘Criminal case should be filed against Nalin. If any BJP or Sangh Parivar members attack CPM workers, Nalin should be made responsible for that,” The complaint adds.
Vasantha Achary, JK R Shriyan, J Balakrishna Shetty, K Yadav Shetty and Sunil Kumar Bajal were present among the team that met the police chiefs.
