Mangaluru: 19-year-old engineering student Princia loses battle for life

Mangaluru, Jan 23: A young girl studying engineering at a college in the city passed away here Monday January 23.

Princia Mascarenhas (19), who was pursuing second-year electrical engineering at St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor, breathed her last late Monday evening.

Family sources said that Princia had suffered a heart attack and collapsed during a family function on January 3. She had then slipped into coma.

She was the daughter of Peter Ronald Mascarenhas and Mary Mascarenhas from Kelmbet.

The funeral will be held on January 25 at 4 pm at Kelmbet church.

I am truly sorry to hear the loss of your princess Princia. She was a classmate of my daughter Noorain Mirza at Al Warood Jeddah and happened to meet her along with my daughter, dropping her home after their friends get together.

Shocked, unbelievable and Irretrievable loss in a human family. I know this lovely angel girl in my Jeddah life and having met her and her beloved parents few times and had cherished my happiness. For sure, Princia will reside in Heaven. May her tender soul R.I.P. Amen.

I had seen her only twice : once when she was 5 and next just before she joined the engineering.
