Moodbidri: Congress leaders accuse BJP of kicking up unnecessary quarrel

Moodbidri, Jan 19: Local block Congress president, Valerian Sequeira, claimed that BJP leaders had made an effort to forcibly discharge two Congress workers, who had got admitted into the government hospital after having been attacked by BJP activists, from the hospital. He added that this development has been recorded by CCTV cameras.

"It is being falsely claimed that criminal case had been registered against Chandrahas Sanil of the Congress. When the victory rally was moving on the road leading to Hosabettu temple belonging to Sanil's family, Valerian Cutinha came there in two-wheeler and unnecessarily kicked up a fight for creating problems," he charged.

Congress leader, Suresh, noted that some BJP leaders, who had never visited Lord Hanumanta temple here, had gone there on Monday to offer tender coconut water to the idol. He said Congress has also decided to leave it to Lord Hanumanta to decide the truth behind incident which happened at Hosabettu.

Block women's Congress president, Supriya D Shetty, Jossy Menezes, Sundar C Poojary and others were present.
