London, Jan 16 (IANS): Everton defeated Manchester City 4-0 in the English Premier League at the Goodison Park here.
The Citizens, led by Spanish coach Pep Guardiola, suffered their fifth defeat of the season on Sunday and currently hold the fifth place in the league's standings with 42 points, reports Efe.
Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku opened for Everton after 34 minutes, followed by a goal by his countryman Kevin Mirallas in the 47th minute.
Tom Davies scored the third goal and Ademola Lookman scored the fourth right before the referee blew the final whistle after 90+4 minutes.
Everton currently holds the seventh position with 33 points.
