Margao: Govt to Deploy IRB Force to Curb Dhiryos

Margao, Feb 6: To curb the Dhiryos (Bull Fights) taking place mostly in South Goa, state government has decided to deploy Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) force here.

Government had to take the decision following the ongoing incidents of Dhiryos taking place in South Goa, despite ban by Supreme Court.

According to police officials from February 7 a group of 70 IRB will be deployed at the identified places, where dhiryos take place. Police have identified such places.

It will not be wrong to say that politician play key role in arranging Bull Fights in Goa. Two of the eminent politicians in South Goa have their own bulls, which are used to fights on these occasions.

South Goa MP Francisco Sardhina had assured people that he would table the bill to legalize the Bull Fights in parliament, during the election time. Now bullfight lovers are waiting for his action. Therefore it so clear that politicians are keen of having bull fights.
