Mangaluru: Mass cleanliness drive at Ullal darga

Mangaluru, Jan 13: Sayyid Madani Charitable Trust president Abdul Rashid Ullal set in motion the cleanliness drive held throughout Ullal under the aegis of Ullal Sayyid Madani Darga management committee, Ullal municipal council and Sayyid Madani educational institutes.

“The programme is held to create awareness among people and students regarding cleanliness and environmen,t” he said.

Ullal municipal council president Vani V Alva speaking on the occasion, said that the council has been holding cleanliness programmes in the area for the past several months to create awareness amongst people.

Trust vice president Mustafa Abdulla, Ibrahim Alekala, Darga treasurer U K Ilyas, Arabic Trust joint secretary Asif Abdulla, Darga vice president U K Monu, members U T Tanjil, Salim Masthikatte, H K Mohammed, Hassain Kaiko, Mustafa Manchila, Khasim Kodi, Darga manager U M Yousef, school and college management officer Abdul Lathif, Darga administration officer Sayyid Shihab, Tipu Sultan college principal D B Moidin, Hazrath school headmaster Imthiaz, Kallapu school headmistress Naseema, Alekala school headmistress Ramlat, Hazrath Girls High School headmistress Bharathi were present.

Tipu Sultan college lecturer Rafik Thumbe compered the programme.

Students and volunteers in Basthipadpu, Melangadi, Millathnagar, Darga and Masthikatte cleaned the areas.
