Mumbai, Feb 3: ‘Nemotsav’ of Sri Brahma Baidarkala temple, located in Borivali (E), dedicated to deities of heroic Tulu Nadu icons, Koti-Chennaya, was held recently with fervour.
‘Nemotsav’ was held at the leadership of Om Sri Jagdishwari Seva Samiti. Jaya C Suvarna, president of All India Billava Association, Gopal C Shetty, local MLA, PU Mehta, Kandivali MLA, Aparna Navrekar and local social activists, were the chief guests present at the occasion. All of them including thousands of Tuluvas’ settled in the metro arrived to offer their obeisance to Sri Brahma Baidarkala and Sri Jagdishwari.
The religious rites were held by T Krishnamurthy Bhat Byculla. Ramadas K Anchan, Narsappa K Marnad, Yellur Sadashiv Poojary, Sooda Kota Poojary, were the Nemotsav artistes being assisted by traditional trumpets of Yermal Irahithlu Saheb troupe and Ramadas Kotian troupe.
Shekar Indu Salian, president of Seva Samiti, Laxman V Beloor, vice president, Dayanand Poojary Varanga, honorary chief secretary, Bhoja A Mendon, honorary chief treasurer and office bearers of Samiti were present at the occasion.
