Bahrain, Jan 3: In what could be termed a prelude to the New Year, Karnataka Social Club, here held its pre-New Year party at its Manama premises with pomp and gaiety.
The event took off with a pre-New Year parade. President Sunil D’Souza and first lady Veena D’Souza led the way. Members dressed in colourful attire marched in gay
abandon to the tune of DJ Francis.
Members 'rocked the floor'to a medley of Bollywood and western party songs. New Year gifts were then handed over to all the youngsters. A session of fun party games for all age groups ensured that everyone had something to cheer about.
A buffet and then a cake cutting ceremony for all the children who celebrated their birthday on that day was held. The president thanked all the members for their support and for attending the event in large numbers.
