Mangaluru: St Aloysius Gonzaga School celebrates annual day

Mangaluru, Dec 22: St Aloysius Gonzaga School celebrated its fifth annual day at the Loyola hall here on Wednesday December 21. The programme began with invocation by the tiny tots. Fr Ivan Mendonca SJ, manager of the school welcomed the gathering.

The highlights of the special events of the year were briefed upon by the principal Grace Noronha supported by a power point presentation. Fr Dionysius Vas SJ, rector St Aloysius College Institutions presided over the function. Dr Kripa Amar Alva, chairperson of the Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (KSCPCR) was the chief guest.

The chief guest addressed the gathering and advised the parents to give quality time to their children and nurture them with love and care. She also raised concern over the increasing old age homes and adviced the students to look after their parents with utmost dignity as parents look after them. Rector Fr Dionysius Vas SJ delivered the presidential address highlighting the motto of the school and the steps taken in moulding the students into better human beings.

Pranav and Riya Noronha compered the programme.

Cultural programmes depicted the talents of the students which added flavor to the evening’s programme. The programme concluded with the theme song "Champions".
